2. Put your head to this side.

Which one is better, and what would be the implication of "to" here?

Is the sentence just completly un-natural?
My son was lying on (a/the) bed with his feet at the head frame.
"turn yourself around so that your head can be at the head board" was what I meant.

Either one. "The bed" - likely where he normally sleeps, or one in the immediate vicinity.

Turn around and put your feet in the opposite direction.
