Head on back

The video starts like this:

Moana: It's time to put my stone on the mountain.
Tala: Okay! Well, then head on back! Put that stone up there.
Moana: Why aren't you trying to talk me out of it?
Tala: You said that's what you wanted.
Moana: It is.

What exactly does Gramma Tala mean by "head on back"?

They're having the conversation on the shore of an island. So in the second line, I think that Gramma Tala is telling Moana to go up the mountain, put the stone up there, and then come back to the shore.

In that context, does 'head on back' mean 'come back to the shore (after putting the stone up there)'?
