i'm pretty sure this sentence is wrong.......can you tell me what is wrong about it?

It is ok with two intos. Getting into/in the box sounds better (if it is a small carboardy sort of box or similar). )

Getting into/in the box sounds better (if it is a small carboardy sort of box or similar).
Going into the box is also fine (perhaps it is a 'box' at the theatre?)
