He was moved when he heard his daughter singing the song in the concert ha

I'd be happy if someone would answer my questions. Thanks in advance.

Are the following 2 sentences correct? If so, what's the difference?

A: He was moved when he heard his daughter sing the song in the concert hall.

B: He was moved when he heard his daughter singing the song in the concert hall.

I feel "his moving" is possible when he heard his daughter's song to the end, so A is OK and B is not so good. Am I right?
