"He shifted the responsibility to me?"

"He has a daughter. He has the responsibility to take care of his daughter. He does not care about his daughter. He shifted the responsibility to me. I am now 'forced' to take care of his daughter for him."

Is there a better way to rephrase the underlined sentence? It does not feel right.

Thanks.

nokia Is there a better way to rephrase the underlined sentence? It's correct as it is. 'onto' often substitutes for 'to' in these cases, so maybe you prefer He (has) shifted the responsibility (for his daughter's care) onto me.
