He said he is getting married.

1. My daughter Abigail announced last night that she is getting married.

I found the be verb is not changed in #1.

2. He said he would go to school on Saturday.

Does be verb in #1 not change because there is no changing form such as will to would in #2?

It's difficult for me to understand the difference between your 2 different examples.
There's only one version "My daughter...would...."
But there's two version "My daughter...is/was...."
Can you tell me what the difference is between "My daughter ...is...." and "My daughter ... was...."?
