Could you judge the sentences below for me?

He resented when Betty seduced him.
He resented when Betty seduced himself.

Which sentence is correct? Or both of them are OK?

The second is definitely wrong (sounds like "himself" is referring to Betty, which makes no sense).

To me, the first one is barely acceptable. I would say "He resented it when Betty seduced him."
