Does it sound natural? I assume the grammar is okay?

He passed out out of fear.

So does the sentence sound, as you say, infelicitous because of the two outs being juxtaposed? I mean, do these sound OK to you?

She screamed out of fear.
He ran away out of fear.
Alice fainted out of fear.
