He may be leave now and better interpretation ?

Hi~

When you say "He may be leave now.", which one is closer to the meaning of the sentence?

1) At that time when the person said that, there's a possibility that the guy already left.

OR

2) There's a possibility that the guy will leave, at the time when the person said that.

With the word "now", I'm not sure about the meaning.
