I believe the question here is "What is meant by "HE MADE US" ? and not "HE MADE US MEAN".

This reminds me of a question in my Moral Science class.
Q: Who Made you ?
A: *** made me.

I hope I got the correct sense of the phrase. I can't make anything else out of "HE MADE US".

Good pick-up, Rahud. And Jim-- an excellent bon mot on your part.

I can think of several meanings for 'he made us':

(1) *** made us, i.e created us.
(2) He recognized our disguise or our secret plan, as in the movies-- 'the detective made us and we had to run for the getaway car'.
(3) He caused our success, i.e., 'he made us rich/famous'.
(4) He forced us to do

(Not used to 's as a substitute for "does"! Maybe I should learn English!)

Yeah, yeah, yeah -- The criminal made us I believe means " He recognized our disguise or our secret plan". That is the context. Now I know what it means.

You got it. It's police and criminal lingo.

Policeman to another: Did you get a make on the perp?

Did you recognize the perpetrator?
