He made a speech about freedom/the freedom

Hi all

I have a sentence that looks like this:

"He made a speech about freedom/the fredom"

Should I use the article (the) in front of "freedom"? Or is it supposed to be left out (like it is the case with the word "nature")?

I hope you can help!
