he is...and is / he is... and he is

hi everyone,
i would kindly like to ask you about the following problem. If i am writing a compound sentence, can i write it like this:
he knows the boundaries of his actions and is aware of the legal regulations of the profession.
Or do i have to write: ... and HE is aware...
plus: how can i avoid using he/she when i am tlaking about a 3rd person? my text is pretty lenghty and i hate to repeat he/she, his/her all the time...
thank you in advance, it would be very imponrtant for me to know this!
best,
mandulamag

1-- You have two choices: He knows the boundaries of his actions and is aware of the legal regulations of the profession. He knows the boundaries of his actions, and he is aware of the legal regulations of the profession. 2-- The easiest solution is to recast your person as 3rd person plural.
