"To be vertically challenged" is only about one's height? It has no figurative sense? Right?

Can a very fat man be "horizontally challenged"?

I think "horizontally challenged" is fairly unlikely, but I suppose someone might use it if the man's girth is so large that it makes it impossible to do what he needs to do.

I'd say the use of "adverb+challenged" is most likely when a person has a deficiency (too little) of a certain quality. In your original sentence, for example, the man didn't have enough height. Als
