He is one of those who think or thinks?

After some googling I've found lots of contradictions but no clear answer on this one.

He is one of those who think unicorns exist.
He is one of those who thinks unicorns exist.

It's always felt natural to use the plural form of the verb in this kind of structure but I'm not sure if it's actually correct.
Shouldn't 'think' be in a singular form since it's linked to 'one' and not 'those'? He is the one who thinks unicorns exist out of all those other people. The subject isn't that all those people think unicorns exist. Right?

You will see both versions in writing. For those who use 'think', I think the logic is as follows: He is one of those who think unicorns exist. The verb is plural as it relates to 'those'.

This is correct:

He is one of those who think unicorns exist.

The subject of think is who, which is linked to those: he is one person of a set of people who think unicorns exist.
