He is not sure of <=

He may ask you about points that he is not sure of

I want to know why 'of' is used.

Can't 'of' be omitted?

Hi, He may ask you about points that he is not sure of I want to know why 'of' is used. Because the above structure for 'sure' requires a prepostion. eg He is not sure of/about some points.
