He is fun and easygoing

He looks shy, but actually, when you get to know him, he is fun/funny and easygoing.

Hi,
Do both fun and funny fit in the above and mean differently? Or is there only one that fits better? Thanks.

Yes, they mean differently. "He is fun" means I have fun when I'm with him. "He is funny" means he is comical.
