Grammar

He is a good person (for helping you ) / (to help you) / (of helping you) to start this project

I want to introduce someone in the email, but am confused about how to express this sentence in the right way.

He is a good person (for helping you ) / (to help you) / (of helping you) to start this project.

Thank you!

Bruce XY Lee (to help you) This one, and make it "to help you start". If you say he is a good person for helping you, it means that he helped you, and that makes him virtuous. "Of helping" is not possible here.

  • Bruce XY Lee (to help you) This one, and make it "to help you start".

  • "Of helping" is not possible here.

You should say 'He is a good person to help you to start this project.'

'For helping you' would suggest he is a good person because he has helped, while 'of helping you' would not be grammatical.
