"he" in a sentence

Hi teachers,

A working man like me, who goes to an office every day and usaully wears a tie, needs about 10 dress shirts - maybe 15, if he's not punctual about dry cleaning. ~ excerpted from Newsweek.

> Does he refer to "a working man"?

> If it were "A working woman like me...", would "she" be called for instead?

Thank you.
