He has died for 3 years.// She has lost his wallet since yesterday.

1. He has been dead for 3 years.

2. He has died.

3. He has died for 3 years.

4. She has lost her wallet.

5. She has lost her wallet since yesterday.

I know 1,2 and 4 are correct, and I wonder if 3 and 5 make sense.

3. He has died for 3 years. Impossible!

4. She has lost her wallet. OK.

5. She has lost her wallet since yesterday.

#3 is entirely incorrect. #5 sounds odd, but might make sense in some (probably colloquial) contexts.
