Of all the places Derek had been, he had yet to find one without prejudice.

Hi,

The above is a stand-alone sentence. I don't quite understand the latter part. Can you help me? Thanks.

No, the original sounds fine. The reader must be conceded enough common sense to understand that it is not the place but the people in the place who are prejudiced.
