He couldn't get this job ...

Hello,

is it correct to say: "He couldn't get this job tomorrow".

I found it a book such a sentence: "He couldn't be driving the car himself (which means: "It's not possible. He can't drive)". Therefore, is my sentence correct?

Thank you
