When I was in college, I was quite inferior about my appearance. I have a short body, dark skin, dry hair while all the girls in the class are white and cute. Therefore, my life is quite closed, little communication. Even my dorm roommates, I rarely talk.
It's fine for normal days but when it comes to holidays I feel so sorry. Because my roommates were given gifts, they were taken out, and I was alone. In those days, I always made excuses to go out and just come home when I was sure no one was in the roo.
At Christmas in the second years, I went to the bookstore soon and went home when my friends went to go out. When I opened the door into the room, the cry to be spurted by lonely until I saw a little gift on the bed head. The red gift box inside holds a lipstick, a hairdressing coupon and a card. On the card, there was a neatly written line: "there are no ugly women, only women who do not know how to be beautiful". This is a first Christmas gift that I received. Although I don't know who the sender is, I'm really happy because that person knows my heart very well. The attached message makes me think a lot. After that day, I decided to get a haircut, use lotion, and put on some light lipsticks when I went out. Changing little but I feel so different, everyone complimented me on looks. Since then, I have more confidence, have more friends and life is more fun.
Every Christmas comes, I remember that meaningful gift. Perhaps, the giver is a secret but the gift that year has changed my life. I am very grateful and I never will forget that.
