He always drove dangerously...

Hi

Are these lines natural? Any suggestions please?

He always drove dangerously and got some kind of sadistic pleasure from the fear of others. Once he careered/careened his car in through two very close speedy trucks. The louder I screamed, the harder he laughed.

Thanks,

Tom
