Grammar

he acts like a boy

Is this sentence correct? Can I put "s" on "act" if I put "always or also?" Thank you

He always acts like a kid.

He also acts like a kid.

Is "always and also" a preposition or a verb?

THanks

Top answer

He acts like a kid - the verb "acts" requires the "s" because it's in the third person, singular. " If you looked up the words "always" and "also" in the dictionary, you'd see they were adverbs.
