he absolutely deserves all the respect he is getting

"One other thing is that Pele has done loads of charity work, and in a couple of natural disasters around the world he has been one of the first few people to help, and come to the disaster-stricken aid. All in all, in a world where money is the only important thing for many athletes, seeing someone like him is very pleasant and he absolutely deserves all the respect he is getting."

I am not sure where "he absolutely deserves all the respect he is getting" is correct or "he absolutely deserves all the respect he has got/gotten"

Your passage has other problems. One other thing is that Pele has done loads of charity work, and in a couple of natural disasters, he has been one of the first few people to come to the aid of the disaster-stricken. All in all, in a world where money is the only important thing for many athletes, seeing someone like him is very pleasant.

Because he is still receiving respect. That does not go away in one moment.
