John walked into the room. He watched as the old man took his last breath and died. He and Sarah looked at each other but were silent.
Is it okay that I started that last sentence with "He" instead of "John," since there is now only one man in the room to do any looking, being as the other one (who was just spoken of before the pronoun) is now dead?
