My friend says Hawaii is a very nice place to live in. Or

All are usable. We can't live a place ; we can only live in a place . Nevertheless, we leave off 'in' at the end of expressions like 'place to live in', maybe just because it's shorter, and the short version has been used so much that people accept it now.
