HAVING TROUBLE WITH "EVEN IF" AND "EVEN THOUGH"

Could you please help me with these 2 sentences? How do I know which to choose?

1 You want to live there knowing that I hate it./even if/though you know I hate it.

2 Even if/though I know she won't walk in, I'd feel better if it was locked.

Thank you

Even if means that you don't know something, but you are thinking about the possibilities. Even though means that you already know something. I'd use "even though" for both sentences.
