Having trouble with 2 sentences /situations

Could you please tell me how to say these 2 situations properly?

1 A single cost half the price of a one bedroom on a monthly basis, while on a daily basis a one bedroom is 45% more expensive than a single, or if you like, a single is 45% cheaper than a one bedroom.

2 The reason you put the info in slot 10 is because if you ever needed to add info you would have slot one through 9 open. Look at it as (if it was) a timeline. If you don’t leave enough space between each even and you for some reason have to add a date you, have no space, so leaving room allows you to be able to go back and add thing were you to forget. This will make you gain time.

Which do you say?

This jacket is too small compared to/in relation to the clothes you have underneath.

Thank you

1 A single cost half the price of a one bedroom on a monthly basis, while on a daily basis a one bedroom is 45% more expensive than a single, or if you like, a single is 45% cheaper than a one bedroom. Put it in parallel form to make it clearer: "On a monthly basis, a single room cost s half the price of a one bedroom. On a daily basis, a single room is 45% cheaper than a one bedroom.
