Having trouble properly writing some sentences?

Could you tell me if my corrections are correct and help me with the ones I'm unsure of?

- I'll call you 5 minutes before I get there. That way you'll have time to come down. OK
- It's normal that the color vary/varies after washing it. VARIES
- What's the point of having nice shoes when you don't wear them out. OK
- The fact that I don't like this book genre didn't play in your favor. The book is still good though. I'M NOT SURE
- Even if/though he's stopped collecting stamps, he still likes them. BOTH
- If you hadn't noticed, I was doing something. OK
