Having difficulty with parts of speech

Afternoon.

I'm learning parts of speech and I'm having a difficult time with this sentence.

Still waters run deep.

Still = Adjective because it describes the next word, a noun.

waters= Noun because it is naming something.

run = Verb because it is describing an action.

deep = ?

I am having difficulty identifying what deep is. I would be very grateful if someone could explain it to me.

Darren.
