Having been or being

Hi everyone. I'm a bit confused

which one is correct?

you mentioned having been in a hospital last year or

You mentioned being in a hspital last year

I think if you use 'having been' you have a feeling recalled that you suffered during the time in the hospital. There is some different feeling.
