Having been acknowledged? sounds weird

Howdy!

I'm not sure about the underlined parts of the following sentence. Can you analyze it with me?

Having been acknowledged through the media both in Argentina and Ecuador that SLS Global Energy will develop a new project of hydropower plants, we wish to express our full support for environment firendly ventures undertaken by your company.

I t's just a poorly written and incorrect sentence. Better is eg It has been acknowledged through the media, both in Argentina and Ecuador, that SLS Global Energy will undertake a new project involving hydro-electric power plants, so we wish to express our full support for environmentally friendly ventures undertaken by your company. This version is still not great, because I've tried to keep the original words as much as possible.

Not bad.

I encounter the term 'hydro-electricity' much, much more than 'hydropower'.

'. .. the project of a something. . ' does not seem quite natural to me. The project is not the plant. The project is building the plant.

Howdy!

I'd be happy to help with this sentence. First, it does sound strange to say "having been acknowledged" especially if it is through the media. Just because something is reported in the media, does not necessarily mean it is true.
