Having a debat with my boss....

Is it proper to say, "Zachary is his father and me through and through," or to say, "Zachary is his father and I through and through"?

I'm still sticking with "I" for nominative case applications, but most of my friends have given up, and use "me."

I consider me the correct form after a verb (is in this case).
Nevertheless, the strict prescriptionist approach of the schoolroom insists on I after a linking verb.
