Have/take

Hi, everyone.

If you want more tea, you can take/have it from the kettle.

Which one should I use here?

Top answer

Is the tea in the kettle? The way we make tea in the UK, the tea would not be in the kettle. The hot water would be in the kettle, and the tea would be in the teapot.

Take or get would be fine.

Have suggests drinking it directly from the kettle!
