Haven't or Hasn't

Here is my sentence:

Since there haven’t been birds in the forest for centuries, it’s easy enough to conclude that the cry came from somewhere else.

I can't figure out whether it should be hasn't or haven't. Anyone know?

It is haven't as the subject is birds.
