Haven't Arrived Until

You haven't arrived until you've eaten in this restaurant.

I failed to interpret that sentence clearly. Could you tell me what the sentence means?

My interpretation:

1. You've finally founded out this restaurant that is surprisingly good.

2. You've finally been successful after you've eaten food in this restaurant. (=Food in this restaurant has made you successful?)

It doesn't make sense. To say that someone has arrived means that they are eminently successful. Eating in a restaurant does not accomplish that. Where did you see this?

"you haven't arrived" is an idiom meaning not to be part of the "in" social group, or among the "movers and shakers".

Perhaps the restaurant is extremely exclusive; only VIPs, tycoons, members of the Forbes 400, superstars and such personages are allowed to make reservations. After you are permitted entry, you "have arrived."
