"have"is stative but it can be use like "having?" Why?

I thought "have"is stative word so we can't use presence continuous form, but there is sentence is OK, how come it be able to use "having"?For example, "The College is having an information session next week, and Mike is going to go to it."

The verb have also has other definitions besides to own or possess . When used with these meanings, have is not stative. The c ollege is holding / hosting an information session next week.

The college is holding / hosting an information session next week.

The same is true of be.

Little Johnny is being bad today. (be = behave)
