"Have you tried" or "Did you try"

1) Have you tried the pills I got you?

2) Did you try the pills I got you?

The pills were giving a week ago. And are meant to be taken everyday.

The one who asks the question is curious to know if she has even tried taking a pill at all since he gave them to her. Which one of the questions would be more appropriate to mean that?
