"have you missed a bit" meaning?

I was happily listening to the "Unbelievable Truth", then at some point, David asked a question I couldn't understand. The question asked to the woman was "Have you missed a bit?" Then she responds with some lightning fast gibberish, hence I got no clue what they just talked about.

I agree. I can't help you. I thought I might have heard, "Yes, I have. I was just gonna ..." and the rest is lost until the man says "back to. That's fine."

I think either David has spotted Lucy has missed shaving part her left arm and armpit as opposed to an otherwise well shaved right arm maybe, or more plausibly David has a copy of her lecture in front of him, and he realises she left a note out.
