'Have you had breakfast yet?' or 'Haven't you had breakfast yet?' ?

Hi all!
I'm learning English.My teacher has asked this question while we were learning present perfect tense :"Which one I have to use : 'Have you had breakfast yet?' or 'Haven't you had breakfast yet?'.".Then I am asking it to you now: Which one I should use?

Both are fine:

'Have you had breakfast yet?'-- You don't know if the person has eaten.
'Haven't you had breakfast yet?'.-- You are surprised that the person hasn't eaten.
