Have you ever been involved in a scuffle?

Hi,

In " Have you ever been involved in a scuffle?", I don't really understand the meaning of "scuffle". In dictionaries, the meaning is "a confused fight or struggle". So could someone please explain what kind fight it is?

Thanks in advance.

The picture in my head is of people pulling each other about but without anyone being seriously hurt. The word "scuffle" is also onomatopoeic as it represents the sound of feet moving about on the ground.

When the piñata is broken and all the treats fall out, a scuffle may ensue. Some of the children may scuffle over the possession of a piece of candy, for example. Injuries, if any, would be minor.
