Do you think this sentence below has something wrong?

"I've watched the movie before, but I don't remember it at all."

A book says things like "The sentence is wrong because it's inconsistent. If you watched the movie, you could/were supposed to remember it."

No, it's a book about English grammar, which I randomly downloaded. The book also says things like " "I saw the movie, but I don't remember it at all" is correct.".

This is the clearly illogical and contradictory version of the sentence.

Based on your examples, the book appears to be trying to illustrate a difference in the usage of "watch" and the usage of "see." Their example is a weak, in my opinion.

Essentially, what I think they are going for is that "watch," by nature, means to keep under attentive view; look at with close observation or contemplation, etc. In contrast, "see" is simply to view or perceive. Based
