0 I have been having some difficulty lately trying to determine how a sentence would be said properly. The source of the sentence is a song called 01i00Africa02i00 by Toto. In the song there is a sentence that goes: "Gonna take some time to do the things we never had" There are some obvious errors with this sentence but the area I am focused on is the had at the end. I have been rolling this sentence around in my head like crazy for the past few days, or weeks, and I just cant figure it out. The problem is I feel like the had should actually be a have. Someone please explain to me why it would be have, or why had is fine, or what excatly the difference is between had and have to help me understand situations when to use one and not the other. Thank you so much for your help!0-
