Hi! I want to know,which sentence is right and what should I use "have to" or "am to"? 1- Debts I have to pay to John. 2- Debts I am to pay to John. Thanks!

Both are OK, and have similar meanings, though 1. is probably more common. The grammar, though, is slightly different: 1 .

"Have" when it expresses obligation or necessity, as in your example, is not a modal verb, though its meaning is very much like modal 'must': "Debts I have to pay to John".
