Have time

Hi all,

Do we say "I have the time to do something" or "I have time to do something".

In which cases should we use one or the other?

Cheers,

John

In general, I'd say "I have time". However, if it's a specific task, I'd say "I don't have the (required) time to wash your laundry".

"I have time to ..." is more common. Either one is OK in almost any context.
