Have that happen

Are these sentences correct:

1) I wouldn't want to have my children get caught in the rain.

2) I don't like to have something bad happen to my neighbors.

3) I had my son held back one year at school. I tried to talk the principal into letting him advance, but she said he had to be held back.

In '3' I am not causing him to be held back. I am talking about something unpleasant that happened to me.
