have sunk as low as $2

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering what the exact meaning of the sentence below is.

Does the phrase "as low as $2" mean that the share price became 2 dollars or that the share price became 2 dollars lower than the price earlier, for example from 5 dollars to 3 dollars?

I have no clue about the stocks so... would you please explain it a little bit for me?

Thanks a lot ~!
