Have practiced have been practicing

Dear teachers,

Would you be so kind to explain how differently would you feel about these two?

1. I have practiced the piano for an hour.

2. I have been practicing the piano for an hour.

My guess is,

1. ............and that is enough for today.

2. ............and I want to continue more.

This guess might fit in some situation,

but, they might not be always like this........

How would you choose differently

1. have + pp(past participle)

and

2. have been ***ing(present participle)

in your daily life?

Is there any clear key to distinguish between these two?

Warmest regards,

blissfarm
