Have or had - Tenses

Could you tell - Which of the tenses is correct?

Heath ledger is the only actor whom I have/had met.

Since the actor is not there in the world anymore, should we use have or had?

Thanks

  • Heath L edger is the only actor (whom) I have met.
  • As shown.
  • The subject of the clause in question is "I", not the actor, so it's a question of when you met the actor, not a question of what the actor did.
